Southern Peach Sauce

I got the idea for this off a a chutney recipe. You can also use Mangos or Pears instead of the peaches to match up better with what you’re grilling. When adding the Wild Turkey, any good bourbon will work, you can add it with the rest of the liquids to tone down the kick or right before serving to really punch it up.

Slow Cooked Oven Roasted Ribs

You can make some great tasting ribs right in your oven.  The key with ribs is to cook them low and slow, it helps to break down any tough tissue and keep the meat moist and tender.  Doing them on a higher heat can cause them to dry out and toughen up. You can use this recipe as a base to make some great, melt in your mouth ribs in your oven in just a few hours.

Italian Roast Pork

Slow-cooked Italian Pork is a great thing to make to feed yourself all weekend. There’s 2 well-known hoagies with  You can find both types in Philly, one at Tony Lukes and the other at DiNic’s. If you get a big enough shoulder or loin, you can cut the meat in half, slice half for one day and let the rest slow cook for pulled pork the next.

Citrus Garlic Gator

After spending my weekend watching Swamp Wars, which is a great show, I really want to try alligator.  I found a few places online, like Gatorama.com where you can order it and have it shipped right to your door. I’ll have to pick up a few pounds of rib and tail meat and give this recipe a try.
