Patton’s Speech to 3rd Army

If you haven’t seen the movie, you have at least seen the scene of General Patton standing in front of the huge American flag while pacing back and forth delivering his message to the troops.  The following is a transcript of the speech General George S. Patton gave to troops of the U.S. Third Army on June 5, 1944, the day before D-day, to boost moral and show his soldiers that there’s nothing to fear and to expect victory.  It’s a perfect speech in tone and cadence and can be worked into a motivational speech for any situation.

The Bacon Log

This is the manliest type of meat you can make.  It’s Bacon, Beef, Cheese, Bacon and Hot Sauce all rolled up into a heart attack inducing log of deliciousness.

It can be prepped pretty quickly or even the night before and it also doesn’t take long to cook, about 1 hour per inch of thickness.  Try it out and see if you don’t love it. Read More »The Bacon Log

Survival Go-Bag
