Hidden Tool Song

  • by

Tool is one of those bands that are known for puting out amazing music with all kinds of messages behind it. Off of 10,000 days, there was a “hidden” song. Not so much hidden as not mixed. there are three songs on the cd that can be combined and overlayed to make an awesome hidden track. I pretty much forgot about this until I was listening to Tool on Youtube and it came onto the playlist. It’s not an amazing song but it’s a good one and fun to check out.

Chinese Fried Eggs

These eggs are pretty tasty. The saltiness of the soy sauce and the sweetness from the sugar give an even flavor that make these eggs addicting. hardboiling the eggs is the hardest part of this recipe so, if you’re like me and have a dozen hardboiled eggs on hand at all time, then these make a great snack with only a few minutes of prep.

Japanese Rose Pickled Ginger

  • by

I am absolutely addicted to the pickled ginger that you find at all the sushi houses. Fresh Pickled Ginger with Wasabi and Soy sauce is so flavorful to me that it goes great on all types of dishes. The price however, is off putting. The small jar of ginger at the store runs about 7 bucks for the small 8 oz jar. If you go thru a ton of this, it definitely is more price effective to make your own, which is surprisingly easy to make.

Spicy Italian Aioli

  • by

Here is a great spread for those big party subs that you get at the grocery store. The basil helps to mute some of the heat from the habaneros, just enough to let you know that they’re still there. This is by far, one of the best toppings for Italian hoagies. Some of this aioli and a little bit of Balsamic or Red Wine vinegar and it will make the best sandwich you ever had. After mixing this all up, it will stay good for about a week in the fridge if its in a covered container.

Lumpias

  • by

Lumpias are spring rolls of Chinese origin that have become a staple food in Indonesia and the Phillipines. Filled with Pork and vegetables, they are usually fried until golden brown and crisp. Their cheap cost and ease of prep makes these a great meal to make a batch of and fry up a few at a time all week.
