Hi there. I was wondering if someone could help me out with this issue I’ve had since I’ve started playing. When I would be playing live my amp would cut out in the middle of playing. It would would cut out then return with out the amp dying. The amp I’m currently using is a Trace Elliot Elf through a Peavey 1516. But I have had this issue with amps in the past. Some people say I play too hard. It happens when I throw some slaps in but also with casual playing. Would anyone know what my issue may be?
I recently joined my first band and we're writing our own stuff. However, I'm the lead guitarist and I'm supposed to write some solos, and I'm having some trouble with that. The problem is that I can't seem to find a way to capture what comes out when I improvise, and If I just record an improvisation, it's always messy, riddled with mistakes and I can't really make out what I play. Music notation is not a very viable way of writing it down because it takes me ages to write it out longhand, and I don't think in eighth notes or sixteenth notes, so it's a big task for someone who's knowledge of rhythm is generally bad, especially when it comes to notation and reading it or writing it. Anybody have any advice?
