Breaded Pork Chops

I haven’t had a good breaded pork chop for quite some time. When I seen a good special on pork chops at the store I had to grab some to cook up for a stick to your ribs dinner. Here’s an easy recipe you can use to whip up some great breaded pork chops. You can use Italian breadcrumbs and serve with a side of pesto linguini for a filler upper that’s easy to cook and easy on the wallet.

Fry up until it's a nice golden brown, no need to overcook them since their going in the oven to finish.

Bought a Boss DS-1

I just picked up one of the most famous distortion boxes ever made, the classic orange Boss DS-1 Distortion pedal, on eBay for $25 with an adaptor and original box/info. I’ve been looking on picking up a new distortion pedal for the last few month and this one was a good deal for a great, easy to modify pedal with tons of kits out there. I’ve played around with this pedal at guitar center and really do like it as it is. it has a good amount of range from a nice breaky grit to a metal lead sound, and playing with the tone knob and your pickups can really give you a ton of tones.

Cucumber Dill Dip

Since the store had a “2 for a buck” special on cucumbers, I bought a few bucks worth and made up this dip. This goes great with sliced cucumbers, carrots and Rosemary Triscuts. It’s Depending on how you like it, you can just finely dice the cucumbers for a thicker dip or, I used a food processor and added the cucumber and ranch and it made it more consistent in texture. It will stay good for about 3 days in the fridge.

Easy Mushroom Gravy

Here’s a great flavorful gravy that goes awesome with rice, chicken, steak, fries and even pizza! It’s not the fastest sauce to make but it really is worth the wait. You can make up a good amount of this too for super cheap which is a win-win situation.

Beer-Battered Steak Strips

This is a quick recipe for a new way of doing steak. It’s great for a finger food while you’re kicking back with some cold ones relaxing. You can pretty much have this prepped, cooked and cleaned up within an hour so why not try it one weekend. Mix up a bowl of ranch with some parmesan cheese and fresh black pepper and you have a great dipping sauce for these as well!

Samuel L Jackson is Breaking Bad

Samuel L Jackson has been doing alot of press for Alzheimer’s Association and as part of the promotion, he’s taken to Reddit for a top voted 300 word monologue contest. The first one he did was pretty good and you can check it out here or at the end of post. This new one he did takes the cake. It’s a monologue original given by Walter White in Breaking Bad, and hearing Sammy L recite it just takes it to a whole new level. It sounds so much like something he would say in Pulp Fiction that it’s unreal. Check out his Donation Site that was setup and make sure to follow him on Twitter.
