Just Cause 2 is an open world, sandbox type of game where you play as a top level assassin with a grappling hook and parachute. It’s a fun idea, allowing you to float around, dive from above and grapple/connect/attach multiple objects together to really cause some damage. The new Madden Football 13 dropped over this Labor Day weekend, what better way to release a game than before a 3 day weekend dedicated to the ‘Merican workforce. I picked it up Friday night and have been playing it nonstop the whole weekend. First things first, the graphics are outta this world. Super impressed with how playing a game looks like you’re watching a real presentation live. The way the players react to each other, limbs getting tangled, the new hit impact physics and the between play graphics all look beautiful. Super bright and defined, you can see the grass flick as your receiver drags their toe to complete the pass. I did find that the camera angle option is buggy. It won’t allow you to change once the game starts so you have to start a quick game to see the camera angle then quit and go back to the main screen to change it, but that should be fixed with the September 11th update. The AI is greatly improved, almost a pain-in-the-ass to even try and get any deep streak passes unless your receiver smokes the corner right off the snap. Here’s some stills of the game play and a list of some of the new features. I highly suggest this one, especially now that football season is starting.

DayZ is a multiplayer open world survival horror mod for the 2009 video game ARMA II and its 2010 expansion pack, ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead. Rockstar Games is still working on getting the new Grand Theft Auto ready for distribution. They’ve been releasing some sporadic screenshots the last few months and to say the least, they are looking pretty awesome. The graphics look great and some of the new toys that will be available for use in the new game should bring some excitement. The game will be the first major title in the Grand Theft Auto series since Grand Theft Auto IV, which started the fourth “era” in the series but the fifteenth game in the series overall.

This game is beyond freaky. It’s a great game because it focuses just on creeping you out. There’s no violence, no insane imagery or graphics engines rendering anything out of this world.
