Batman: The Dark Knight Rises Plot Holes

So I got to watch The Dark Knight Rises a few times over the weekend. Like any Christopher Nolan movie, it’s very visually impressive but there’s just so much shit in the movie that befuddles the hell out of me watching it. There were a ton of points, even more than usual, that really give you a thump on the ear as you’re watching the movie. I’ve listed a few as I’ve been watching it that just really get to me.

Overall, The movie is definitely worth watching a few times because let’s face it, it’s a movie about a billionaire superhero and evil villains, so I give it some creative license. There’s tons of spoilers but if you’re going to read about the plotholes, you know what’s coming. TLDR; Great visual effects and definitely entertaining but more holes than swiss cheese. Read More »Batman: The Dark Knight Rises Plot Holes

Patton’s Speech to 3rd Army

If you haven’t seen the movie, you have at least seen the scene of General Patton standing in front of the huge American flag while pacing back and forth delivering his message to the troops.  The following is a transcript of the speech General George S. Patton gave to troops of the U.S. Third Army on June 5, 1944, the day before D-day, to boost moral and show his soldiers that there’s nothing to fear and to expect victory.  It’s a perfect speech in tone and cadence and can be worked into a motivational speech for any situation.

“Be seated.” Men, this stuff that some sources sling around about America wanting out of this war, not wanting to fight, is a crock of bullshit. Americans love to fight, traditionally. All real Americans love the sting and clash of battle.Read More »Patton’s Speech to 3rd Army
