This Tare Sauce is a great thick glaze that is used in Japan on top of Yakitori, which is just grilled chicken skewers.
- 1/2 Cup Soy Sauce
- 1/3 Cup Sake
- 3 Tbsp Mirin
- 2 Tbsp Sugar
Bring all ingredients to a boil in a saucepan and allow to boil for about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool for another 3-5 minutes, then brush on chicken as it’s grilling.
