My favorite snack of all time has got to be croutons. When I worked at Armstrong’s, they used to make their own fresh ones everyday and I would go thru them by the handful. They’re really easy to make and they last for about 2 weeks. I’ll prob add some other crouton recipes I have, because let’s face it, you can never have too many croutons.
Ingredients:
3 tsp Italian Seasoning (1 tsp each: Oregano, Basil, Parsley)
Sea Salt and Fresh Ground Black Pepper to taste
1/2 tsp Ghost Pepper Powder (optional)
3-4 Tbsp minced Garlic Cloves
1/4 cup of melted Butter
Large Bowl of Bread Cubes
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300°F.
In a large bowl, mix the Garlic, Seasonings and the melted Butter.
Add the cubes of bread; then stir gently to coat.
Place the bread on a baking sheet in one layer.
Bake, turning once, until golden on all sides (takes about 15 minutes).
Allow croutons to cool.
Serve.
