This is a salsa / chutney that goes awesome on chicken or fish. It starts sweet then the heat starts to really kick after a few seconds. When you blend this up you want to make it fine, with no chunks, so that it has a ketchup like consistency. It will taste best within the first 3-5 days then it starts to lose the sweetness and gain a little more heat.
- 4 peeled Mangoes
- 1 chopped Onion
- 2 dried Ghost Pepper Pods ( or 1 Tbsp Ghost Pepper Powder)
- 2 Tbsp Lime Juice
- 2-3 cloves Garlic
- 2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
- 2 Tbsp Sugar
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Heat the oil in a pan, and then add the mangoes, onions and the ghost pepper pod.
- Stir until the onions become clear, and then add the remaining ingredients, stirring often for about 30 minutes.
- Pour the contents in a blender until smooth and free from lumps. Chill the sauce before serving.
