As a Kitchen Nightmares addict, I always wonder how many of these restaurants that Gordon comes to end up failing after the show.  It looks like the show is great for giving tips and bringing in some new business for a short time after appearing but then the place either goes back to it’s old ways or the hype dies down and takes the business with it.
