This recipe is for sweet and tangy North Carolina style slaw. Goes great with pulled pork sandwiches and some Cool Ranch Doritos.
- 1 Head of Cabbage
- 1 Bell Pepper
- 1 Sweet Onion
- 2 Carrots
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Cup Cider Vinegar
- 2/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Dry Mustard
- 1 tsp Celery Seed
- Shred and combine Cabbage, Carrots, Onion and Bell Pepper in large bowl.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Simmer, stirring, until sugar is dissolved; pour over vegetables and toss well.
- Cover and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
