Cabernet Balsamic Glaze for Grilled Steak

  • by

Here’s a recipe for a Balsamic Sweet glaze for your steaks. I seen this in one of the recipes by Guy Fieri and from what I seen it looks like it could be pretty tasty. The sweetness adds a nice finish to your grilled steaks as well.

Ingredients:

  • Your Favorite Steaks
  • 2 Cups Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 1 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/2 Cup Diced Onion
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 3 Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Start by caramelizing some Onions in a pan with some Olive Oil, When they have turned deep brown, add the Garlic and cook until that begins to turn golden brown.
  2. De-Glaze the pan with the Balsamic Vinegar and the wine, Add in the Brown Sugar and let the mix reduce for about half an hour over a low heat.
  3. Strain out the large chunks and allow the sauce to simmer down into a sticky glaze. Serve on the side with your grilled steaks and enjoy!
