This recipe makes a sweet and hot steak sauce that also goes on pork and chicken. the brown sugar smoothes out the heat a bit but still leaves in a great kick. It’ll make you sweat for sure.
- 6 Habanero Peppers
- 4 Tbsp Butter
- 6 slices Bacon
- 1 Onion
- 1 Cup Red Wine
- 4 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- Salt and Pepper
- Cook Bacon until it just starts to brown, about 10-12 minutes.
- Add Onion and Habaneros and cook on medium until Onions become translucent
- Add Red Wine and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and allow Wine to reduce to about 1/4 cup, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in Butter.
- Strain into a serving dish and season to taste.
