Bourbon Sauce Glaze

While looking around at pork recipes earlier today, I found a couple different ones that I thought sounded pretty delicious.  Here’s a sauce that I found that is Bourbon based and should go nicely with pork or even with chicken. You can cut up fresh chilis and tomatoes if you like, otherwise the small cans will do the trick, you can find them in the supermarket, usually in the Mexican foods isle.

  • 1 can Diced Green Chilis
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup Bourbon
  • 1/3 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/3 cup Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Onion
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Freshly-Ground Black Pepper

  1. Put all ingredients into a sauce pan and bring to a simmer and stir thoroughly for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Use as a marinade or a sauce on your favorite meat or poultry.
