Around the holidays, Apple cider starts to pop up in all the stores for really cheap. This recipe makes a helluva tasty drink that is pretty strong, and it is perfect for the holiday season. You can drink it cold for a refreshing taste or heat it up for a cozy sipper after dinner. The recipe is basic and cheap, which works out perfect for the holidays as you don’t have to spend much and you can make gifts out of it, because really, who doesn’t like a nice gift of booze?!?
Ingredients:
- 1 Gallon Apple Cider
- 1 Gallon Apple Juice
- 3 Cups Brown Sugar
- 1 Cups White Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp Nutmeg
- 2 Bottles (750ml each) Everclear
Directions:
- Heat Apple Juice, Apple Cider, Sugar and Cinnamon sticks in a large pot to a simmer and allow to heat for about 30 minutes while stirring until all sugar is dissolved.
- Allow the mix to cool, then add in the Everclear and stir well, bottle up and store in the fridge.
- You can fill up a mason jar with this and toss in a stick of cinnamon, wrap a bow on it and hand them out as Christmas gifts as well.
